Surviving Month One

In an effort to get caught up before the Georgia Paparazzi arrives on Thursday, here are pictures from Charlotte's first month. She started the month off with behavior very much in line with this first photo. The trick of all newborns is to let their parents think they are going to sleep all the time. Ha! By the end of the month WC was showing off all her new tricks and keeping her parents on their toes. Thankfully we had a week long visit by Grandma who saved us. So happy she and Papa are coming back in just a few days!

Meeting her Aunt Alice for the first time.

Kate thoroughly entertains Aunt Peggy and Uncle Dennis while Charlotte does what she does best - sleep!

All stretched out!

Kate was still refusing to have her photo taken, however she was asking to hold Baby Charlotte.  So I bribed her with a photo shoot.

Grandma arrived and Stephen and I took off only hours later to celebrate our anniversary.  Dinner at Asti + Rosi - YUM!!

Grandma spent most of her week entertaining Kate (or was it the other way around), holding Charlotte, and taking pictures of the girls.

Charlotte has the same crazy hair Kate had as a baby, just a different color.

Happiness is a passie and being held by Grandma.

To enjoy the beautiful weather we took Grandma and Charlotte to Ski Shores.  Kate was ready to hop in one of the boats and take off.

I think only Daddy is getting sleep here!

Kate and I took Grandma and Charlotte to the Austin Nature Center

We topped off our outing with a little Chic-fil-a.  Kate was afraid her fans might recognize her so she went incognito the whole time.

Grandma and her girls.

Closest thing to a family photo we've gotten so far!

While Grandma was here, Kate learned how to take photos on the iPhone.  This is one of her self-portraits.  I think there were about 50 of these!

We tried for another sister photo shoot (notice the precious blanket Grandma knitted for Charlotte), but this time Miss C was having none of it.  Kate was just excited to get to hold her!

One month was here before we knew it.  It was the longest and fastest month of my life.  Now on to tackle Month Two!
