Happy Thanksgiving

As promised, here are the pictures from Kate's Thanksgiving in Atlanta. We arrived a week before turkey day and got to spend that Saturday rooting on the Georgia Bulldogs. At this point Kate can't really remember who they played but at least she looked cute.

Afterwards the family headed outside to enjoy the beautiful afternoon.  Kate gets a few pictures with her Uncle Scott.

Not only we were celebrating Thanksgiving, but we also got to honor Grandma and Papa on their 40th wedding anniversary.  We all clean up pretty well!

Kate found lots to entertain herself during the week starting with cleaning out Grandma's tupperware cabinet.

The tupperware looks MUCH better by the fireplace than shoved away in the cabinet!

After she was done cleaning the cabinets, she moved on to the fridge.

What is the date on this?

She was tireless in her efforts to get Grandma and Papa organized.  The magazine rack looks much better empty!

We met up with college and post-college roommate Beth and her husband Kevin and little boy Shep at a park one afternoon.  Shep and Kate took a liking to each other immediately.

Kate also showed off her maternal skills and amazed us all by knowing exactly what we meant by 'Go feed your baby'!

Kate gets a remote of her own to play with and a lesson from Papa on how to use it.  Little does he know she's already a pro!

We took a little outing one afternoon to nearby Pool's Mill.  The leaves had already fallen but the water running over the rocks was beautiful.

Afterwards we got in some swing time at the park.

And the whole family enjoyed the slide.

Whee!!!

Grandma and Papa agreed to babysit so we could go to dinner with friends Kalley and Paul.  Somehow I didn't get a picture of the girls, but here's one with the boys enjoying their plate of pork.

Thanksgiving Day arrived and the Brown family was back together.  This time Aspen (Uncle Scott's dog) got to come.  Kate and he seemed to form a mutual respect for each other - you don't touch my ball and I don't touch your water bottle.

Kate and Cousin Haley having some fun before dinner.

The whole gang pre-dinner and and few pounds lighter.

After all the pictures, it was finally time to eat.  You might think her eyes are be bigger than her stomach.  But then, you haven't seen her belly!

After we had all thoroughly stuffed ourselves, we stretched our legs with a walk to the neighborhood park.  Even while swinging Kate was requesting 'The Itsy Bitsy Spider'.

Back at home, the men show Kate how to lounge on the sofa.

Back in her favorite position.

After dinner we had a quick photo shoot of the clothes Mom and Grandma bought.  Santa will love me in this outfit!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are truly thankful for dear friends and family.  Now, on to Christmas!
