Easter - Bluebonnets and Eggs

Happy Easter!  I'm running about one holiday behind since we just celebrated Mother's Day.  Kate kicked off her Easter season while doing a little shopping during her stay in Atlanta.

The big day finally arrived and we tried for a family photo shoot outside Tarrytown Methodist.  I don't think I'll be putting this one on the Christmas card.

The failed photo ops continued as we tried to do a bluebonnet photo shoot after church. Kate decided she wanted nothing of her state's flower. So we got lots of photos of her clinging for dear life to Daddy.

Was she finally coming around?

Or perhaps she was just interested in playing with the car keys.

What she definitely was NOT interested in was sitting in Mommy's lap!

Back at the house Kate felt more at ease and finally smiled for the camera.

After lunch and a good long nap, Kate was ready to see what the Easter bunny had brought her.  The Easter bunny decided Kate's current backyard wasn't suitable for hunting eggs, so he hid them over at Nana's house.

We weren't sure how successful hunting Easter eggs would be this year, but Kate proved us all wrong and picked up on it immediately.

Didn't take long for her to spot the colored eggs and put them in her basket.

She had so much fun that we had to 'recycle' some of her eggs and keep hiding them throughout the yard.  The Easter bunny is going to have to work a little harder next year!

Last attempt at a family photo.  Oh well, there's always next year!
