Welcome Charlotte!

Since the People magazine deal fell through, I figured it was time to show the world our newest addition - Charlotte McLeod Brown. She joined our family just over five weeks ago on April 13th. Where does the time go? As many of you know we had a roller coaster ride during the last month of pregnancy which continued well after Charlotte made her appearance. We had dubbed her 'WC' for 'Wild Child' while she was in the womb. She continues to live up to her nickname topping it all off with a full head of red hair. Below are pictures from the first week of her life. If you have been starved for photos so far, then you will get more than you fill with the 60+ pictures below!! Enjoy.

We went to the hospital on the night of April 12th and knew Miss C would be on her way.  Kate came to keep us company while we awaited her arrival.

Kate's not too sure about losing her status as only child!

Getting glammed up to go to the Operating Room.

Doesn't Stephen look cute?

Shortly after, Charlotte was here!

Giving her first autograph

Are you sure the red head is MY child?!?!?

Even with some goop in her eyes she gives us her best WC - mischievous look.

Snuggling with Mommy who looks a bit worn out!

 Getting her first bath

Happy to be clean and dressed

Meeting Mia for the first time.

Dr. Owens gives Charlotte her first exam.

Kate meets Baby Charlotte for the first time.

While Kate seemed a bit unimpressed with her new sister, she was adamant about not having her picture taken.  We never could get a family photo of all four of us.  This was about the closest we came.  All we heard from Kate when the camera came out was 'NO PICTURES!!!'  Ah the joys of a two year old!

She was interested in opening the present her baby sister had given her - a new baby doll.

Meet her great-grandmother Nana for the first time.  Charlotte gets her middle name from Nana.  McLeod was her maiden name.

Charlotte had some other special visitors - her Aunt Peggy and Uncle Dennis.  They were in town from the Cayman Islands.  Can't wait to go visit them!

Getting some snuggle time with Daddy

Before we knew it it was time to go home.  Actually I think the hospital was about ready to kick us out.  I would have stayed forever!

Can't you just hear Kate hollering 'NO PICTURES!!'

We still don't have a picture of all four of us!

While she may not want her photo taken, she is proving to be a great big sister.  Wanting to help buckle Baby Charlotte into her car seat.

Telling Baby Charlotte that it's going to be ok.  Mom and Dad may seem clueless but they do an ok job.

Finally all four of us!

Big sister keeps a close eye.

We were barely home before it was time for Charlotte's first visit to the pediatrician.  Stephen was beside himself when we got put in the Star Wars room.

Almost back to her birth weight of 7 lbs 9 oz.

Getting some comfort from Dr. Griggs.

Exactly a week old and out on the town already.  Mom and Dad took advantage of the beautiful day and Mia's babysitting to take Charlotte out to Mozart's for some coffee.

One week old!

First bath at home.

Where did all that red hair come from?!?!?  While it may be a different color, it stands up just as much as Kate's did when she was a newborn.

We made it through the first week.  Let's see what fun I can cause in the weeks to come!
