A Festive and Fun Fall

I figure I better get the Halloween pictures posted before Thanksgiving arrives next week.  We head to Atlanta on Friday so I'm sure there will only be a few hundred pictures taken while we are there!  We kicked off the Fall season with a trip to the pumpkin patch at Tarrytown Methodist.  This also happens to be the church where Stephen and I were married back in 2005. As you can tell from our dress (and sweat) the weather hadn't quite turned crisp and cool yet.

As a nod to her Southeastern roots, Kate was a Georgia Bulldog cheerleader for Halloween. She got several opportunities to wear her costume starting with our weekly music class.

A group shot of the whole class.  Quite a challenge!

Several of the Moms and kiddos we've gotten to be friends with.

Next up was our first family pumpkin carving.  Not having carved a pumpkin in many years, this was a pretty rookie attempt.  We kept the design simple and dug in and got our hands dirty.  Or at least I did as Stephen and Kate weren't so keen on cleaning out the guts.

Ready for more partying, we went to a Halloween party hosted by the McKinley family.  It was a gorgeous afternoon and we had so much fun.

The cheerleader and her #1 fans.

Kate decided she would try to bob for apples.  Her version of the traditional game involved picking each apple out with her hands one at a time.

Kept her entertained for quite a while!

The camera kept clicking away back at the house for more family photos with the completed pumpkin.

Kate had one just her size.

Any treats in here?

Happy Halloween!!
